Who We Are
Paragon Seafood Products was established in 2011 as a horse mackerel rights and quota holder. We have since grown into a fully integrated producer, marketer and distributor of frozen and canned seafood products — all under the popular Tjao Fish brand.
Our fish is wild-caught from the unpolluted Atlantic Ocean and processed in EU-approved, HACCP-certified and FDA-listed factories in Walvis Bay. We maintain an unbroken cold chain from ocean to consumer — so every pack of Tjao Fish reaches you in perfect condition.
We have built a well-organised distribution network covering the length and breadth of Namibia, with a strong foundation to expand into the SADC region and beyond.

Tjao Fish
Convenience, affordability and quality — in every pack. All Tjao Fish products are sourced from horse mackerel caught wild in the Atlantic Ocean (FAO Area 47).
Glazed, interleaved horse mackerel in a convenient 1 kg pack. High protein content at an affordable price — designed for everyday households nationwide.
Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. A 3-year shelf life makes it ideal for home storage and food programmes. Fully HALAAL certified and popular in the LSM 1–4 market segment.
Blast-frozen at sea to −18°C. Graded into sizes 16+, 18+, 20+ and 25+. Widely consumed across the DRC, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola — an important source of foreign currency earnings.
Quality Assurance
Our horse mackerel is sourced in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner from the unpolluted Atlantic Ocean. Every batch is processed in EU-approved, HACCP-certified and FDA-listed factories in Walvis Bay, Namibia.
We maintain an unbroken cold chain from the moment the fish leaves the water to the moment it reaches your hands — ensuring freshness, safety and quality every time.
Distribution
Our fleet of 7.5-tonne and 1-tonne refrigerated trucks, supported by 40-ft and 20-ft refrigerated containers, keeps Tjao Fish moving in perfect condition — from Walvis Bay to Windhoek, Ongwediva, Rundu and every corner of Namibia.
Regional depot containers in Windhoek and Ongwediva act as distribution hubs, from which our trucks and pick-ups deliver directly to vendors and supermarkets across the country.
Community Impact
Our vendor model is built on a simple belief: business should lift people up. We loan 243 chest display freezers to young Namibians at no cost — giving them the tools to start their own businesses and earn a livelihood.
