Desmond Amunyela

Executive Director

Desmond co-founded Paragon Investment Holdings and has more than 10 years experience in the management of media, advertising and retail. He currently serves on the board of Paragon Investment Holdings, Cherish Investments (BEE partner of Alexander Forbes Namibia), Tidal Diamonds Namibia (wholly owned by Namakwa Diamonds Limited (NDL), a London Listed Company), TBWA/Paragon, Windhoek Observer and Mack Fishing Company (PTY) Ltd.

Lazarus Jacobs

Executive Director

Lazarus Jacobs is the co- founder of Paragon Investment Holdings. A well-known Namibian media personality, published writer and sought- after public speaker, Lazarus
has more than 10 years in management as well as vast experience in marketing, advertising, radio and television production. He currently serves as Director on the following boards: Paragon Investment Holdings, TBWA\Paragon, Windhoek Observer, National Theatre of Namibia (Chairperson) and the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (Chairperson).

Induction in the Namibia Business Hall of Fame (2009)

The Namibia Business Hall of Fame was created to recognize outstanding Namibian entrepreneurs. Receiving the award places the recipient in the company of notable captains of industry in Namibia. In recognition for their contribution to the economic development of Namibia and the encouragement of entrepreneurship through the establishment of Paragon Investment Holdings, Lazarus Jacobs and Desmond Amunyela were inducted in the hall of fame as Founders of Paragon.

Gladys Mubapatasango

Managing Director

Gladys Mubatapasango was appointed Managing Director for TBWA\Paragon on 01 February 2015.

A trend watcher and change activator with 10 years experience in the advertising industry, Gladys has crafted and overseen the execution of communication strategies for a wide range of clients including Standard Bank Namibia and Namport.

Gladys adapts to any situation, finds solutions for problems and has the ability to manage multiple projects with the sole aim of increasing our clients’ ROI.

Gladys holds a Bachelor in Business Administration (Marketing), IMM Graduate School of Marketing, South Africa.

Fanuel Kuvee Kangueehi

Editor-in-Chief

Paragon Media Group appointed Fanuel Kuvee Kangueehi as the editor-in-chief of the Windhoek Observer in February 2009. Fanuel has a distinguished career in print media and journalism, having successfully completed his tenure at the New Era, another Namibian newspaper publication, as a political journalist.

Since becoming the editor of the Windhoek Observer he has focused on broadening the content of the newspaper and making it accessible and relevant to a diverse and multicultural Namibian readership.

Stanley Nick Katzao

Executive Director: Paragon Seafood Products

Stanley Nick Katzao was appointed as Executive Director of Paragon Seafood Products (Pty) Ltd. He brings vast knowledge and management of business in the fisheries sector. He is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the company, from negotiating catchment agreements with other fishing companies to distribution of more than 60 outlets of retailers nationwide.

Duncan Arendorf

General Manager: Finance and Admin

Duncan worked in banking for 20 years, holding senior positions in Finance and Projects. He was a partner in a procurement financing business for 2 years and did business process, financial process and technology process consulting for 1 year. His passion is business management reviewing and reporting; mentoring and empowering people; business process restructuring and reengineering.

Hilja Ndapanda Iithete

Group Internal Auditor

Hilja Ndapanda Iithete has over 8 years in internal and external auditing experience in both private and public sector. She possess a Diploma in Business Administration and Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (UNAM). She joined our company in September 2015 as a Group Internal Auditor. Her role is to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.

Emil Koita

Finance Manager

Emil Koita has over 5 years’ experience in the accounting field of which 2 of those years was at a big audit firm, he holds a bachelor degree in accounting and is currently pursuing his CIMA professional qualification. As the group accountant, his role at Paragon is to head the finance team for all of Paragon subsidiaries. He is passionate about finance transformation and strategy implementation and for him it’s easier to think in numbers than in words.

Ruth Andreas

Human Capital Officer

Ruth Andreas was appointed Human Capital Officer of Paragon & Groups on the 1 February 2016.
She has more than 2 years’ experience in Human Resource Management. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management (NUST). She is responsible for the overall running of every Human Resources aspect of Paragon & Groups. As the Human Capital Officer of Paragon, she will focus on the role of Human Resources in the 21st century, where employees are the cornerstone of our business. Employees are valuable assets and their needs are valued and catered for. She is a passionate person when it comes to people management.
